Terms of Service

Ahoj is an online Slovak-learning product operated by Galata Gichile (Slovakia). These terms govern your use of the website and app, including lessons, vocabulary, practice, games, and billing.

By creating an account you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The trader is Galata Gichile, Slovakia. Write to galata30gichile@gmail.com for the registered address. If a VAT identification number is required for your invoice, Stripe collects tax where Stripe Tax is enabled; otherwise ask galata30gichile@gmail.com.

You need an account to use most of Ahoj. You may sign up with email and a password, or with Google. Confirm your email before you pay. Keep your login details safe and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.

Ahoj is meant for adult learners. If you are under 16, you may only use it with a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms.

You can delete your account at any time from Profile. Deletion removes your login and learning data we control. Payment records that Stripe must keep by law may remain with Stripe.

A free account can use published lessons and practice marked as free. Ahoj Premium unlocks the rest of the catalog while your subscription or trial is active.

Premium is billed by Stripe in euros: €5/month or €50/year. New Premium checkouts include a 7-day trial. Cancel in Billing (Stripe customer portal) before the trial ends if you do not want to be charged. After that, you can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period.

If a renewal payment fails, Premium stays available for a short grace period, then paid content is paused until billing is updated. Prices and what is included can change; we will show the current offer on the pricing page before you pay.

EU/EEA consumers may withdraw within 14 days of the first paid charge. Email galata30gichile@gmail.com or start a refund request. We refund that charge through Stripe and cancel Ahoj Premium. The trial itself is free; cancel before it ends and you are not charged. After the 14-day window, unused time after you cancel is not refunded unless consumer law in your country requires otherwise.

Lessons, grammar notes, PDFs, audio, quizzes, and other materials are for your personal study. You may not copy, share, scrape, or resell them, or use them to build another product.

Practice that uses AI (reading, listening, speaking, and writing) is a study aid. Generated prompts, audio, and feedback can be wrong. Ahoj is not an official exam centre and does not guarantee a B2 or any other certificate.

Do not upload or type other people’s personal data into speaking or writing practice. Do not use the service to harass anyone, break the law, or overload our systems.

We aim to keep Ahoj running, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Features, lessons, and third-party services (hosting, payments, sign-in, AI) can change or be unavailable.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Ahoj is provided as-is. We are not liable for lost study time, exam outcomes, or indirect damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory EU consumer rights.

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms. If a change is material, we will try to notify you in the product or by email.
